Humorix articles

Humorix is a fake news humor website for the Free Software crowd. Here are a few articles I've written at various dates. These are the originals, the published versions have been modified by Humorix editors.

Patent-aware GNU, playing jokes on software patents
  • Computercyclism, a inversion of the idea of lawyercyclism.
  • Hacker-friendly Microsoft, turning upside down the frenzy for a user-friendly GNU/Linux desktop.
  • Humorix
  • Introduction to Free Software and GNU/Linux

This material I wrote during my training is Kunming University of Scienco and Technology, PR China, in the summer of year 2002.

It presents Free Software, unix, and the advantages of command-line-style user interfaces, as well as some useful tools for software development and such.

Freshmeat editorial about the dangers of time-limited books.

The moment's frenzy was about wheter "electronic books" were ready for the mass market. I found many discussions on the subject, but few actually adressing the problems of open standards and interoperability.

In this article, I present a discussion about black box systems and time-limited electronic books. This all may seem pretty naive now, with the perspective we have on TCPA and palladium. Octobre 2001
