My websites

Here is a list of most websites I have created or collaborated to (except for wikis), as well as a short technical description.

My wedding's website

This site has pictures and explainations on my wedding with Zhou Li, both in France and in China.

Technically speaking, it is very similar to my personal website, except that it uses XHTML and CSS, and has a more elaborate visual design.

Rene Bickel's personal website

Rene Bickel could be called a political activist, though he probably would like the term "anarchist" better. He is a great inspiration to many people in the area of alternative healthcare, and draws cartoons for various alternative papers. I helped him set up a website to present his three books and a few of his writings.

The site is made with SPIP, and slightly modified skeletons.

Asinsa Souvenir

Asinsa is the name of the special French-Asian training I received in the 2 years following my graduation. We were a small group, 20 people, from France, China and Vietnam.

As we shared a lot of experiences, I took upon myself to build a photo album for the group. This took the shape of a dynamic website where everybody added lots of comments, and then a CD-Rom which was distributed to all of us.

Parts of that CD-Rom's content is hosted on the official Asinsa Website. It also included the Chine 2000 gallery.

Chine 2000

This hefty commented photo album presents the region of Yunnan, China, where I spent 3 months in the summer of year 2000.

The website, like Asinsa Souvenir, was built using Perl CGI scripts (when it was still hot) to maximize automation. 2 versions existed, a dynamic one, where users could add comments, and an static one, shown here.

My personal homepage (this very page)

Here is what I built to let other people know who I am, and to publish my writings and achievements. Though I strive to translate the most relevent pieces into English, parts of it are only available in French.

This website is built using a makefile, that concatenates files (header, footer, menu, page body...) to reduce redundancy of information and make for easy maintenance. Though it's not very sexy-looking, it aims at w3c compliance.
